На днях обновился c Mageia 4 (i586) до Mageia 5 по инструкции https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Mageia_5_Rel … _.28CLI.29 , перезагрузился, загрузка застряла на этом:

Удалил драйвера установленные с репозитария, попытался установить с оф. сафта:

         used to build the target kernel, or if a driver such as rivafb, nvidiafb, or nouveau is present and prevents

Пробывал повоторно установить драйвер с репозитария - модуль nvidia.ko всё равно не собрался. в списке загруженных модулей nouveau нет,г рафика на этом ноуте не гибридная

Я лично давно зарёкся обновляться на любых дистрибутивах, поскольку чаще всего получаешь в результате внезапный "ахтунг". Куда проще, сохранив настройки в "хомячке", поставить новый релиз и не насиловать мозг проблемой невпихуемости обновлений. Хотя, чисто экспериментально, это, конечно, интересно. smile

Операционная система - Mageia Linux 7.1, x64, Mate. Конфигурация - AMD FX-8350/ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX/ASUS GTS-250 1 Gb/16 Gb RAM

Обновления конечно, не айс, но если переустанавливать, то настройки все по-новой нужно выставлять, home не всегда помогает в этом.  Но я согласен, в некоторых случаях проще по новой поставить чем обновлять, но это все-таки не Windows, вся прлесть Linux в обновлениях без переустановок...
B данном случае косяк вышел только с NVIDIA. Я попробывал загрузить иксы на опенсорсных модулях - работает, модуль ядра для VirtualBox успешно собрался и работает, все остальное то же норм. Не понятно только почему NVIDIA капризничает.

andrewkn, я поднимал тему про драйверы nvidia? т.е. про установку проприетарных и про изменение разрешения экрана, если с дефолтное на свое нормально, то обратно уже затык, иксы не грузятся, если изменить разрешение экрана на свободном драйвере, а потом поменять на проприетарные, то модуль не собирается и переустановка системы гарантирована, вероятно опять какие-то тёрки с лицензиями
